It all started with a workshop by Ken McArthur and Life Coach and Leadership Speaker Brendon Burchard. If you visit the Impact Factor website, you will learn about both of these gentlement.
If you were listening to the live stream in the morning, you would have gotten a great presentation from Brendon Burchard! He shared his life story from life threathening injury to the thrill of jumping off an airplane! Ok, he was terrified! But his two part presentation was the highlight of the event! That’s how powerful it was.
After lunch, Sanyika Calloway Boyce held another one of her spotlight session. But due to time constraints, she did the spotlight with Ken McArthus and Warrent Whitlock. They went to getting exposure the media in the forms of tv, radio, as well as publishing of books to gain the creditility that you need in getting your messages out there.
Felicia Slattery is the next presenter. She is a speaker and a communications coach as well. Her main thing is about creditability and the best way to do a speech.
Finally, Ken McArthur closed the day.
What’s next? Well, as part of the Impact Bootcamp, you will start to hear about the SpeakOutAndSaveLives program that this bootcamp is puting together. It is geared toward helping trouble teens; especially in trying to help teens from becoming a statistic. Nationwide, more and more teenages are comteplating suicide. And it is this that prompted Ken McArthur to try to enlist help from people for this worthy cause.
Please visit the Impact Factorfor more information… You could even secure a ticket to the next event in Los Angelas where the finalist is announced. Brendon Burchard is recreating the circus look of his Life’s Golden Ticket book just like the Big Tops! In Long Beach, CA no less.
It started with a spotlight of Sanyika Calloway Boyce doing a sample client coaching. She shared how to reach tv producers and how to simplify your message to best showcase your message for the allot 3 minutes tv time.
Carrie Wilerson, the Barefoot Executive, is next. It is interesting when she shared how she got started. It is true that you don’t need to be perfect in order to get started. Her advice would be to dive head start into it and adjust, learn from mistakes, and grow!
Donna Fox is next. She shared her view that we could improve our conversion by as much as 655% just by directing our marketing message toward women! 80% of all purchasing decisions, online and offline, are influenced by women. Very enlightening message. I’ve actually heard her talk at the Master’s Seminar in Chicago.
Mary Mazzullo is next. She shared how best to utilize photos to improve conversions by as much as 300%.
The final speaker of the day is Warren Whitlock. Ken McArthur calls him a dynamic speaker - no kidding! Warren Whitlock shared how best to get credibility - through publishing of a physical bood. Authors of physical books are treated with authority and respeact than that of the ebook publisher. Also, he shared a couple of ideas on getting JV partners.
We ended the day early at 5pm as a wedding reception is waiting for the room. However, we still have the mastermind group session to help put out the Impact cause in helping teenagers deal with suicide. Will have to head out there now…
See you tomorrow for the next post. I will be heading home after the seminar too.
Durng the day, please visit the live streaming of the event for more details.
Today I’m live in Philly for Ken McArthur’s Impact Bootcamp held during the weekend of August 22nd to the 24th.
I drove five and half hours from Boston to get this event! Am I tried! I stayed up from 1am and all day today.
I am here to witness and learn from a bunch of experts to train 18 selected campers on the art of making an Impact in someone’s life, in the world we live in. I will be a fly on the wall…
It’s quite interesting. Nearly 90% of the 18 campers have an online presence. I was told that they went through a 36+ page evaluation form in order to get selected. I believe only one of the 18 is a beginner. And even she had published a physical book of her own recently.
Today, the speakers included Ron Capps - the NicheProf, Frank Sousa, and Sanyika Caloway Boyce, best selling author and media guru known as MediaStarr on Twitter.
It turned out that I will not be a fly on the wall… This is a bootcamp. And during the second half of the day, all of the attendees were divided into about 6 groups. One group would be on blogging, another on media coverage, for example.
The idea is to actually help make an Impact. We will be part of an initial effort this weekend to start an effort to save today’s teens. Did you know that more and more teens are living stressful lives and more and more are conteplating suicide? This will be an educational campeign to help save today’s troubled teens. I am on the Blog team.
I am glad I’m here to make a difference…
As part of the weekend’s event, there will be a live streaming of the event on and off the weekend. Check out this live feed.
This is a great little tool. You can open a MP3 or WAVE file and be able to fine tune and listen to the audio in its entirety. Once you have identified a portion of the audio where there are too much white noise, or even unwanted voices, you can highlight that portion and do a View->selection. This allows you to zoom on in to the area of the selected audio. Then you can select and delete out the unwanted extra noise.
You can do a pretty good audio editing with this free tool. Then once you become good enough, you can graduate into something with better functionalities. But for simple audio editing, this is a wonderful tool!
By the way, this tool works under Windows and MAC.
