My review of the first of five of FormulaFive course:
I have listened to part 1, Margin Magnifier. It came with a DVD that automatically plays in your Computer and detailed hard copy of the transcript. The transcript copy makes it easy to follow along with the material in the video.
Also each part comes with worksheets.
You get a hard case, nicely lamanated box with 3-ring binder to store the materials.
The transcripts are printed in high quality colored ink and quality paper stock.
For the first DVD, Margin Magnifier, Paul Lemberg shares how you could easily magnify your margins just by raising your price by 15%. For example, if you are selling a product that is selling for $100, your base cost is $75.
If you sold 1,000 units every month, your profits would be:
1,000 x $100 = 100,000 gross sales
1,000 x $75 = 75,000 cost
10,000 in warehousing, employees
100,000 – 75,000 – 10,000 = 15,000 profits
If you raise your price to $115 or 15%, the numbers would be:
1,000 x 115 = 115,000 gross sales
your costs would still be 75,000+10,000 = 85,000
but you profits would now be:
115,000 – 85,000 = 30,000.
You have just doubled your profits just by raising your price by 15%. Think how that does to your bottomline!
In this first DVD, it also covers some strategies on how to provide value so you can validates this 15% increase in price.
If you can justify the value provided by your product, you can easily raise your price!
